Position Description

A full-time People Operations Specialist is being sought by CrossBoundary to join our People Team. You will oversee the daily administration of immigration and compliance for our expanding company as a people operations specialist. Candidates should have three or more years of compliance and immigration experience working for a reputable international firm. Immigration and contract management knowledge will be highly valued. We’re searching for applicants who are meticulous, well-organized, and enthusiastic about their regular jobs.

Contract Administration

  • Manage and monitor employment contract templates across several jurisdictions to make sure they are updated frequently and adhere to local regulations as necessary
  • To successfully register entities and establish new national offices, collaborate closely with the rest of the People Team, General Counsel (GC), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Chief People Officer (CPO).
  • Complete annual assessment of job descriptions and resumes across the whole company as necessary for proposals and other business development projects.

Immigration

  • Develop a plan for the company’s approach to foreign work authorization in our key markets in collaboration with the Chief People Officer, People Operations Manager, Global Head of Administration, General Counsel, and Heads of Office.
  • Establish a new procedure for the identification, request, and completion of foreign work authorizations in collaboration with the Chief People Officer and the People Operations Manager.
  • To complete and submit all team member foreign work permission applications and associated documents for new recruits and team members needing renewal, work closely with local members of the administration team.
  • To ensure continuing progress on all outstanding applications, lead weekly calls with the Chief People Officer, People Operations Manager, Global Head of Administration, and General Counsel.
  • Together with the People Operations Manager, implement and monitor all immigration compliance across the organization (work permits, employer of record management, etc.).
  • Ensure that the Immigration Tracker on our People Team and HRIS contains the most recent immigration data.

Program for Analyst Training

  • Provide new analysts with the necessary training, including account setup and help as questions arise
  • Keep an eye on developments and provide reports that are used in the twice-yearly performance assessment process.

Policies

  • Conduct yearly assessments of all personnel policies across the company, control team communication, and make sure all policies are available to employees
  • Each year, review the country-specific policies and procedures addendum to make sure that all operating nations are adhering to the relevant local legislation.
  • Monitor HR laws and regulations proactively to enable compliance with relevant jurisdictions
  • Support for Benefits & Leave Management
  • Control the company’s total benefits tracking system.
  • Work with the Employee Experience Specialist to make sure that the HRIS (BambooHR) is updated with all benefits.
  • Establish and oversee wellness programs across the jurisdictions we work in, making ensuring they complement our present benefits package.
  • Track and periodically distribute leave data to team leads
  • Liaise with benefit providers as necessary to ensure that the team is aware of benefits and receiving enough support.
  • Alongside the People and Finance Teams, assist with the timely renewal of annual benefits

Auditing

  • All government, internal, and HR audits should be supported, coordinated, and finished.
  • Establish a bid-related documentation repository to improve the effectiveness of bid assistance
  • Make sure all employee-related data is 100% accurate by conducting quarterly audits.

Worker surveys

  • oversee the firm-wide pulse check survey, sharing results with the team and looking at them for team and leadership insights.
  • Create and use a variety of team member surveys
  • lead or assist in conducting data analysis and reporting for individual team member surveys.
  • System for tracking human resources (HRIS)
  • Maintain accurate files and records of team member information in close collaboration with the larger People Team.
  • Review the system routinely, making necessary modifications

Location

  • Candidates will come to Nairobi, Johannesburg, Dubai, or Lagos to work with us.
