We are glad to announce the following opening in the Field Operations division’s Sales Operations Team, which is situated in Kenya. To fulfill the demands of our expanding business, we are searching for a candidate that satisfies the qualifications listed below.
Summary for Position
- The Sales Operations Manager will oversee their daily operations and make sure that the deliverables for the sales operations department are met in each market while reporting to the Global Sales Operations Director.
- The manager is responsible for completing the following deliverables, coordinating each with the local sales and operations executives, and compiling all of the following: Important Responsibilities
- Reconciliation of sales data: Ensure that daily end-to-end reconciliation of all sales data across all of our markets. combine sales reports from local sales operations officers, confirm that data collecting SOPs are being followed in all markets, and then distribute the report to internal stakeholders.
- Keep track of all sales representatives’ output. Analyze the productivity of agents, team leaders, and territory sales managers (TSMs) across all markets in collaboration with the in-country sales operations officers. Send a weekly report and alert the appropriate leads and stakeholders to any performance problems.
- Revision of the Permanent Journey Plan (PJP) and financial assistance
- To guarantee that all TLs and TSMs across our markets submit PJPs in accordance with the commercial SOPs and as instructed by the commercial leadership, I will work with the in-country sales operations executives.
- shall make sure that only funds issued in support of PJPs that have been approved are used to facilitate these PJPs.
- Work with the in-country sales operations officers each month to produce Budget vs. Actual reports for PJP spend as well as country-specific reports on PJP execution.
- Administration of the compensation structure – Work with local sales operations executives to keep commission dashboards current throughout all markets. He is responsible for making sure the commission reports are shared on time each month in order for the commercial team to approve and pay commissions in accordance with SOP requirements.
- Spend on trade activities reconciliation and verification –
- Before any money is distributed, shall make sure a monthly trade-spend budget is discussed and authorized for each market.
- To create a monthly budget vs. real report for trade spend for each market in collaboration with in-country Sales Ops officers, sense check the figures, and make sure all arising concerns are escalated and resolved within SOP guidelines (not more than 30 days after the end of the month).
- Training gaps analysis: As part of his sales agent, TL, and TSM performance reporting duties, he is required to conduct a monthly study of the training needs for each market.
Key Requirements
- a minimum of 5 years of work experience, at least 2 of which were spent in a managerial capacity.
- Microsoft Office guru
- Excel/Google Sheets spreadsheet expert
- previous knowledge in reporting and data analysis
- Outstanding interpersonal abilities, preferably with background managing cross-functional teams.
- prior involvement in or for a sales team.
- having experience leading teams in more than one country.
- formerly engaged in sales operations, ideally in a fast-paced FMCG setting.
