One (1) Driver is needed for Zambia LOCAL, a project run by IntraHealth International and based in Lusaka, Zambia. The driver will deliver dependable and safe driving services while displaying high standards of work, a client-oriented approach, a strong sense of responsibility, and the capacity to collaborate with people from all countries and cultural backgrounds. The driver will adhere to the travel and safety regulations of IntraHealth as well as the program’s vehicle management policies and standards.

The following are only a few examples of duties:

• drives for IntraHealth personnel and authorities.
• guarantees the delivery of dependable and secure driving services.
• Driving office vehicles to transport IntraHealth employees, officials, and guests as well as to deliver and pick up mail, documents, and other materials as well as to meet visitors and official people.
• guarantees cost savings through correct vehicle use and precise maintenance.
• assures the assigned vehicle is properly maintained every day.
• Make plans for significant repairs, perform oil changes on schedule, and check your tires, brakes, and water level.

Qualifications:

• certification from a secondary school or grade twelve.
• A current, unblemished driver’s license is required.
• Must have a clean driving record and at least two years of experience working as a driver for an international organization, embassy, or USAID system.
• understanding of traffic laws and regulations, chauffeur etiquette, and local road conditions.
• Speaking English with ease; working knowledge of a second language preferred.
• the capacity to drive over long stretches of time.
