ABOUT THE POSITION

By October 2023, ICAP hopes to fill the position of Country Director in South Sudan. The Country Director is accountable for the strategic leadership and management of all of ICAP’s research, technical assistance, and training programs in-country and reports to the Chief Operating Officer of ICAP at Columbia University. The nation Director also serves as the chief ICAP representative in the nation.

Responsibilities

• overseeing all technical, programmatic, and operational components of the country program
• ensuring the best possible use of human, financial, and material resources, and assuring strict adherence to donor guidelines and University policy.
• oversees the portfolio of work done by ICAP in the country’s implementation and monitoring.
• As ICAP’s local representative, you are in charge of establishing and preserving close working connections with officials from the government, academic institutions, donors, sponsors, and other implementing and cooperating partners.

REQUIREMENTS

• A bachelor’s degree is a requirement for the ideal applicant.
• Strongly recommended are candidates with an MBChB/MD (or international equivalent), PhD, MPH, or other pertinent graduate degree in public health or international development. SRI Executive is handling the hiring for the post;
