Position Description

  • The Grants Compliance and Reporting Team reports to the Head of Program Implementation.
  • In order to gather crucial data and data analytics for donor reporting (limited and unrestricted), the manager will serve as the main point of contact with the Implementation, Planning, Learning, and Evaluation (PEAL) and Knowledge Management teams. Additionally, the Manager will oversee strict grant compliance and efficiently organize any requests for donor reporting and proposal creation. The Grants Compliance and Reporting Manager is passionate about community development, data-informed impact reporting, and crafting narratives from technical program data that are useful to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Coordination, initiative, independent problem solving, and attention to detail are necessary for this position to examine and organize data that is suitable for use in external reporting and to assure grant compliance, particularly for projects with restricted financing. Managing changing objectives and working with numerous stakeholders across time zones is crucial to the job. This person will be essential in coordinating data requests with other team members, translating for reporting, and creating a narrative from the datasets. They will need to thoroughly examine reports to find any gaps and then follow up for explanations as necessary.

Important Responsibilities

Reporting and Coordinating

  • Work together with our operation districts’ Program Implementation teams to collect the data and insights required for donor reports.
  • Work with data analysts to evaluate, interpret, and analyze data in order to detect trends, patterns, and insights. Then, put your findings into reports, proposals, and presentations.
  • Work together with the appropriate teams to guarantee data integrity.
  • Act as the team’s point of contact for locating, condensing, and producing content and analysis for donor reports, proposals, and presentations.
  • Quickly and in conjunction with the Partnership team, draft donor reports and proposals. For varied audiences, this will entail developing narratives for reports and recommendations using technical and quantitative data.

ยท Work together with the various departments to immediately address any requests from donors.

  • As needed, create periodic and one-time reports and updates for management and funders.
  • Enhance and put into effect best practices for cross-departmental reporting.
  • Grant Conformity
  • Get involved in project design to learn about donor commitments and reporting requirements for new partnerships.
  • Examine project plans and finances to make sure they adhere to grant guidelines and the framework for monitoring and evaluation (M&E).
  • Work together with the finance team to keep an eye on grant funds and make sure that spending complies with donor demands.
  • Conduct regular activity reviews to guarantee grant compliance, especially for restricted funds.
  • Quickly escalate any issues with the execution or reporting of limited grants.
  • Ensure that the organization complies with donor regulations and policies by keeping up to current with them.

Information Mobilization

  • Offer pertinent data-driven insights to assist in making strategic decisions on the design and implementation of future financing opportunities.
  • Institutional systems for compiling and arranging grant reporting data
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that reporting-related processes are successfully documented.

Other:

  • Assist staff members in compiling and organizing reporting data for donor reports and proposals.
  • Build and manage a team as needed to fulfill the organization’s expanding reporting requirements.
  • Any additional obligations that may be given

required expertise and knowledge

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, such as social work, community development, economics, statistics, or another related field.
  • At least five years of experience in a comparable position and environment.
  • Proven track record in monitoring and evaluation, ideally in the context of nonprofit or development programs.
  • Proficient use of statistical tools such as Microsoft Excel and other applications, as well as strong analytical abilities.
  • Previous work producing technical and narrative reports using data collection, both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Knowledge of best practices, tools, and M&E techniques.
  • Proven oral and written communication abilities in English and regional languages for sharing findings and advice with national and international teams.
  • The capacity to function both independently and jointly in a team setting across numerous departments and time zones.
  • Proven track record of managing program staff.
  • Organized and detail-oriented for managing various tasks and deadlines successfully.
  • Understanding of compliance norms and reporting obligations for donors.
