Position Description

Experience in: is required of the Business Development Manager for Uganda.


  • Portfolio of brands in the specified region. The corporation does, however, maintain the right to switch the countries.
  • Monitor the strategy’s implementation using the distributor, investment plans, and projected shipping targets.
  • IMS goals, distributor demand and stock planning, distributor customer relations, and other organizational KPIs.
  • Create branded, specialized solutions using the organization’s annual business plan for the region.
  • taking part in the quarterly business reviews of the company and following the rules for a thorough examination of the territory with senior management.
  • oversee the territory’s distributor’s implementation and execution.

Relationship administration

  • Manage and keep an eye on the organization’s local investments by ensuring that they are carried out, keeping track of ROI, and regulating the total amount of investment made in the region.
  • Control distributors and keep a tight eye on corporate operations.
  • Assist distributors in reaching the company’s business goals by helping to increase efficiency, supporting hiring, offering ongoing training, re-engineering routes, etc.
  • liaison with other divisions/departments for financial reporting, inter- and intra-company business growth efforts, forecasts, and sales reports.
  • playing a leadership and influencing role in the territory’s business partners’ inventory management, sales organization, and customer management.
  • Keep up relationships to persuade and influence strategic choices that further the organization’s goals


  • Working on new ideas and projects in the territory and other regional markets, meeting potential clients, company development, and team management are all part of the job profile.
  • The most effective and efficient planning and monitoring of the organization’s budgets, activity plan, and sales projection.
  • oversee the implementation of the sales strategies and budgets to meet or surpass the distributors in your territory’s annual sales goals.
  • To enhance sas for the organization’s brands in the channel, do routine market visits in accordance with the time schedule to verify route coverage, competition activity, audits, and continuously look for new prospects.
  • Inform distributors and important trade customers about the organization’s new or improved goods and services.


  • Give top management advice regarding the activity of the FMCG sector in the relevant territory. Provide guidance on prospective opportunities, including but not limited to category expansion, new product development (NPD), line expansion, strategic investments, marketing initiatives, etc.
  • Through initiatives, tactics, morale, recruitment, etc., assist the sales teams in the territory in achieving their goals.


  • Create and maintain a strong client network to ensure that the company’s goods and services are widely accessible throughout the region.
  • Coordinate and follow up with the distributor’s commercial/import department to make sure there is always an adequate supply of the company’s goods on hand to fulfill client demands and sales delivery deadlines.

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the FMCG industry and/or related fields in sales, distribution, and export.


  • English and regional languages are both fluent
  • autonomous working ability

  • having access to and using the business intelligence (Oracle OBIEE) capabilities of the organization
