Under the direction of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) at the Central and State levels, CHAI collaborates with its India registered affiliate, the William J. Clinton Foundation (WJCF), on a variety of high priority initiatives targeted at enhancing health outcomes. Currently, WJCF supports government partners in a variety of projects to provide access to high-quality care and treatment for sexual and reproductive health, common cancers, hepatitis, tuberculosis, COVID-19, and other diseases.

Position Summary

For the position of Associate, TB, WJCF is looking for a highly driven individual with exceptional qualifications and proven problem-solving skills. In addition to reporting to the Assistant Director General, the Associate will be assigned to the Central TB Division. They will communicate with partners from various organizations and carry out the managing-information-for-action (MIFA) mandate of the WJCF.

The Associate will specifically collaborate with a group of exceptionally motivated and skilled coworkers to streamline the creation and use of the Ni-kshay suite of products, which is the national TB management information system (MIS); establish standard operating procedures (SOP) for data-driven decision-making; and, through these, support the strategic and programmatic priorities of CTD.

We are looking for an enterprising, highly motivated person with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. It would be crucial to have a track record of strategic large picture thinking and problem solutions in challenging situations. The relevant personal traits of resourcefulness, humility, responsibility, tenacity, independence, energy, and work ethic are highly regarded by WJCF.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with public and private sector players who will either directly or indirectly contribute to the project’s success.
  • Participate in the project team’s recruitment, education, and mentorship
  • Develop an interaction strategy while developing a comprehensive grasp of the working ecology, administrative structure, important contacts at partner institutions, and more.
  • Develop knowledge of the project’s technical needs (pertaining to the Nikshay product line, TB programming, etc.).
  • Create SOPs for cascading administrative owners’ program reviews to standardize them.
  • Organize partners’ diverse efforts around a shared objective and a set of targets specified by CTD.
  • Participate in presentations to connections in the government and with donors
  • Establish priorities and define studies and pilots with partners.
  • Large data sets should be cleaned, managed, and analyzed; the process of generating insights and incorporating those findings into intervention design should be supported.
  • By identifying intervention areas that will have a substantial impact on policy, aid in the development of CHAI’s TB strategy.
  • Support the presentation of study results to important stakeholders by CHAI leadership, and encourage their publishing and dissemination.
  • As the CHAI TB program grows, find possibilities and take the lead on new projects.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • 4+ years of job experience in addition to a bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • Excellent qualitative and quantitative analysis, as well as written and vocal communication skills
  • Possessing an entrepreneurial attitude, which includes the capacity to work autonomously, be self-driven, and suggest and carry out novel ideas
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills
  • high level of expertise with Microsoft Office, especially with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Possessing the capacity to strategize, deal with ambiguity, and solve problems in a multicultural, limited-structure setting.
  • Ability to prioritize work, handle numerous jobs at once, and perform well under pressure

preferred credentials:

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industries OR Experience working in management consulting, the development sector, or other fast-paced, output-oriented environments
  • knowledge of many quantitative and qualitative research techniques
  • knowledge of large-scale data analysis using statistical programs like Stata, SAS, SPSS, or R
