An Extended Term Temporary (ETT) Driver is needed by the IFC Kampala office in Uganda. The resident representative for Rwanda and Uganda receives reports from this position.
obligations and responsibilities
- Drive employees to client locations and meetings.
- As required, gather and deliver official correspondence, bills, and packages.
- Maintain the office vehicles, making sure to perform regular inspections on the battery water level, tyre pressure, engine oil, brake fluid, radiator coolant, and more.
- Keep a daily record for your car.
- Make that the schedules for general maintenance, insurance, and registration are up to date.
- Make sure the office cars are always spotless, including the engine bay.
- Make sure that your car keys are kept up and stored safely.
- Make careful to verify the general condition of the vehicle interior fixtures.
- Make sure that cars are always appropriately outfitted with first aid toolboxes, fire extinguishers, tow ropes, jump leads, spare tires, tool kits, jacks, and wheel spanners.
- any other administrative responsibilities that the Resident Representative may occasionally assign.
Selection Standards
- a secondary school diploma, or an equivalent, is required.
- a minimum of five years of driving experience; instruction in defensive driving techniques is a plus.
- a current drivers license.
- English proficiency, both spoken and written.
- excellent familiarity of Kampala and its surroundings.
- references with a clean driving record.
- proactive, takes charge, is an adult with a flexible personality.
- a strong client focus, the ability to work with people from many cultures, and team player.
