Position Description
Job Summary
The CO is expected to build the capacity of subordinates under the direction and supervision of the health facility in-charge and medical officer by offering clinical mentorship on-site, providing support supervision, and planning for ongoing medical education or ongoing professional development for the facility staff. He or she will be required to cooperate with the health implementing partners in the settlement, work within the medical facility, and provide services in the neighborhood in the catchment area. The management of health personnel, the creation of project review meetings, and coordination with the necessary stakeholders are examples of responsibilities.
responsibilities and obligations
- Provide daily clinical evaluations and treatment recommendations to all patients using the health unit.
- Make sure the history, examination results, investigations, and recommended treatments are all well documented.
- Refer tough instances and pertinent details, such as the patient’s condition and lab results, to the treating physician or the doctor on call so that they can be managed properly clinically.
- Perform basic surgical treatments in the OPD minor theatre, such as sewing up cuts, diagnosing and treating abscesses, and removing small foreign objects, etc.
- participate actively in the weekly CME sessions held at the medical facility or medical post.
- Cover medical facilities and be available on call as needed.
- Take part in health surveys and initiatives for camps.
- Contribute to bedside lectures for younger staff members and assist in daily morning ward rounds of admitted patients with the medical officer assigned to the ward.
- Make sure the health unit has an exact and complete inventory of its supplies and medications, and keep an eye on and oversee how they are used.
- collaborates with other unit members to provide patients with high-quality medical care.

- On a daily basis, give patients or clients health talks.
- carry out any other pertinent tasks that your supervisor may assign you.
Qualifications
- must hold a Clinical Medicine and Community Health Diploma from an accredited institution, or its equivalent.
- must be authorized by the Allied Health Professionals Council and registered there.
- operating in a humanitarian environment, such as a camp for refugees.
- 2 years of work experience, including time spent implementing health projects in the field.
