- Humanitarian Relief Assistance, Protection (including Gender Based Violence and Child Protection), Shelter and Non-Food Items, Health and Psychosocial Support, Resettlement, and Movement Management are just a few of the many subject areas that IOM’s operations span.
- The incumbent will be accountable for the following under the general direction of the Head of Office, the direct supervision of the Project Officer (Non-Food Items), and in coordination with pertinent teams on site: Principal Duties / Responsibilities:
- Help the Project Officer for Non-Food Items implement the IOM Non-Food Items (NFI) procurement pipeline (NFI Distribution) modality, including planning and monitoring the procurement and delivery schedule, conducting warehouse verification and monitoring tasks, and providing feedback.
- Plan the pipeline procurement process in coordination, paying particular attention to delivery and transportation options, warehousing specifics, kitting requirements, item specifications, verification reports, waybills, and other necessary paperwork.
- Ensure that the NFI requirements are given in accordance with the procurement and delivery plan by coordinating with the project officer (NFI) and providing the necessary information in the formulation of the delivery schedule and deployment plan.
- Coordination of the administrative pipeline preparation is required, including the gathering of information on the types and contents of kits, the receipt and recording of purchase requests, the recording of timelines, and the regular updating of the pipeline to reflect the state of kitting, delivery, and procurement.
- Create routine data sets, situational reports, updates, and other reporting materials that support IOM NFI programming, provide information for donor reports, and meet other project requirements.
- With the project officer (NFI), assist in developing a database and data processing tools.
- Manage team finances, plan resource deployment, plan and approve staff absences, monitor, analyze, and evaluate the performance of the team and its members, and supervise staff members under your direct supervision.

Qualifications and Experience Necessary
Education
at least four years of relevant professional experience, ideally in similar roles, and a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in development studies, supply chain, logistics, public administration, or a related discipline from an approved academic institution;
OR a high school diploma from an approved university and at least six years of relevant job experience, preferably in positions similar to those desired.
Experience
- experience in a comparable operational capacity with leadership responsibilities, proven;
- experience with supply chain management;
- confirmed interest in the operational processes and how an international organization runs;
- It is advantageous to have prior experience working with international humanitarian organizations, non-governmental organizations, or government institutions/organizations.
Skills

Languages
REQUIRED Fluency in English and working understanding of German (oral and written) are prerequisites for all applicants. DESIRABLE An advantage is having a basic understanding of Dari and/or Pashto.
