Skills:

  • It is preferred to have a master’s degree in economics, public policy, or a similar discipline. Candidates that possess extraordinary and outstanding credentials but do not possess a master’s degree will also be taken into consideration.
  • It is necessary to have knowledge of at least one of the following themes: (a) poverty and inequality, (b) labor markets, (c) economic and social integration of refugees, (d) social protection, and (e) effect evaluation.
  • It would be advantageous to have prior experience supporting and organizing operational activities, such as community consultations, focus groups, workshops with stakeholders, household surveys, or dissemination events.

Fluency in spoken and written English that is excellent;

  • proficient with STATA, a program used for data analysis.

Task Description:

The Consultant will support the program by preparing and analyzing household data and producing analytical inputs pertaining to poverty and welfare under the general supervision of the Task Team Leaders. The Consultant may be asked to go on a mission with the Team or on their behalf within the parameters of the tasks that have been agreed upon. To be more precise, the Consultant will be

assisting in the creation of in-depth analyses for one or more Kazakhstan CMU countries. This could involve migration, fiscal incidence analysis, poverty mapping, and poverty assessments. The STC’s involvement comprises report authoring, data preparation, and data analysis.

Assistance with household data analysis requests from sectoral teams and counterparts, including support for Poverty and Social Impact Analysis (PSIA) for Development Policy Operations (DPO) or other ad hoc requests. The STC’s contribution consists of short writing, data preparation, and data analysis
