We are glad to announce the following position opening in the Commercial Team of the Electric division, located in Rwanda. In order to satisfy the demands of our expanding business, we are searching for a candidate who satisfies the requirements listed below.
Summary for Position
The Country Sales Manager, who reports to the Commercial Director -Electric, is in charge of formulating and executing the organization’s plan for marketing its goods and services in the designated areas.
Important Responsibilities
- Direct Sales Channel Strategy: Create and implement the route-to-market strategy for the Direct Sales (Business to Consumer/B2C) Channel in accordance with the needs of the carbon project, and create a strong portfolio of PayGo receivables. RTM strategy will prioritize market day and door-to-door (D2D) sales.
- Building (from scratch), developing, and managing a team of Territory Sales Managers and Team Leaders, as well as a nationwide network of more than 1000 Direct Sales Agents/Commission-based Sales Agents (B2C). To satisfy agent headcount and sales targets, work with third-party recruiting agency(s) as needed to continuously employ and train Direct Sales Agents.
- Carbon Monitoring and Evaluation: Ensure that all Carbon Monitoring and Evaluation project requirements be met, particularly the need that stoves only be sold to families that satisfy specific standards and that accurate data be gathered from each end-user.
- Agent Compensation: Provide guidance to the Management team regarding appropriate incentive plans and compensation structures for the Direct Sales team and Commission-based Sales Agents.
- Systems and Procedures: Ensure that all CRM, inventory management, and cash collection procedures are followed by the Direct Sales team and Commission-based Sales Agents. Work with other departments to make sure that all Direct Sales Agents and Commission-based Sales Agents have received the proper training on all pertinent software and equipment.
- KPI Management: Establish and monitor key performance indicators for all Direct Sales channel employees in accordance with the national strategy.
- Market Intelligence: Work with the carbon team to execute feasibility studies for carbon and other market research projects.
Key Requirements
- 3+ years of management experience, particularly with fast-moving and consumer durable products, with Direct Sales team(s) (over 500 agents) in Nigeria.
- shown expertise in sales and marketing, ideally in consumer durables or fast-moving consumer goods, in the Nigerian setting
- 3+ years of experience managing sales and marketing activities on the ground, particularly product activations/demonstrations in the market.
- 2+ years of monitoring and assessment experience
- 3 years or more of project management expertise, along with a track record of successfully coordinating complicated projects with several stakeholders to meet deadlines.
- strong interpersonal and leadership abilities
- strong background in gathering and analyzing data
