Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates operating health centers across the U.S. Planned Parenthood Action Fund is an independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit membership organization formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education.

Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) seeks a dynamic and effective Post Producer and Editor. Reporting to the Senior Video Editor on the Video Team of PPFA, they will be responsible for leading the post-production team’s process; providing support with edit projects; organizing digital assets and maintaining digital databases; and overseeing high-quality delivery of videos. This role will require a person who is passionate about work centered on access to abortion and health equity, who is able to think creatively while coordinating logistics, and ensuring the highest production standards are achieved.

Purpose:

â—Responsible for producing, supporting, and coordinating branded content, social ï¬lms, videos and commercials, with a strong focus on post production

â—Work with the Senior Video Editor to edit videos from start to ï¬nish, including organizing and syncing footage, editing to music, captioning for accessibility, and exporting in required formats

â—Create and oversee working processes between post-production and production to ensure efficient collaboration and time management

â—Support the production and edit team with administrative needs such as the organization of digital assets, maintaining and updating department databases, and creating project completion reports

â—Support the Creative team with the organization and archiving of digital assets

â—Help support in production partner searches and at times vendor outreach

â—Lead the post production team and process, including post scheduling, ï¬nishing, coordinating, managing reviews, and deliverable distribution

â—Help guide internal teams on various phases of video production and provide clear updates to teams

Delivery:

â—Approaches work from a creative and logistical point of view through all phases of video production

â—Edits videos ranging from direct-to-cameras, explainers, and rapid response news clips that will be distributed on social platforms and paid media

â—Comfortable in ambiguity; able to create clarity on a project needs and advise the team on the most effective way to move forward

â—Detailed oriented; has a deep appreciation for organizing and archiving projects

â—Organizes the team’s post schedule and leads on post heavy, in-house work

â—Manages and maintains the licensing and usage rights for stock footage and music licenses

â—Ensures that digital databases are up-to-date and asset databases are organized

â—Creates deliverable documents outlining ï¬nishing specs and aspect ratios based on distribution plans and seeks internal alignment on deliverables list

â—Manages and distributes assets and elements for editors, producers, and motion graphic designers

â—Coordinates all Spanish caption translations with internal teams

â—Supports producers and helps communicate timelines, budgets, deliverables, DEI requirements, goals, and expectations with internal team members and external partners

â—Brings creative ideas and solutions to administrative responsibilities

â—Researches production resources with a focus on partners who can help deliver projects on time, on spec, and on budget

â—Takes the lead on all production wrap digital organization; including uploading ï¬nal project ï¬les, ï¬lls out production completion reports, ensuring projects have been shared with appropriate teams and ï¬led for future reference

â—Ensures all deliverables and assets adhere to standards and manages QC through post and delivery

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

â—Minimum three years of experience in video, ï¬lm, or production ï¬eld is required.

â—Advanced knowledge of video, ï¬lm, and production processes and best practices

â—Feels conï¬dent supporting video development and post production executions

â—Knowledge of content for various video platforms; with a focus on digital, social content, branded ï¬lms, and experiential

â—Excels in digital asset management, online digital archiving and navigating virtual communication

â—Ability to contribute and assist productions remotely and stay digitally organized

â—Solid equity lens, including an understanding of how oppression impacts people’s ability to access their sexual and reproductive health and rights

â—Strong written, verbal and virtual communication skills

â—Likes to problem solve and jumps in to help when needed

â—Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment, often juggling multiple projects at a time, sometimes outside of regular ofï¬ce hours

â—Keen attention to detail and strong work ethic

â—Spanish speaking is a plus

â—Has a strong passion for sexual and reproductive health and abortion rights

Travel: 5-15% Domestic

$75,000 – $82,000 a year
