Salary

$65,000 – $85,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location

You may work from our office in Washington DC, from home, or on a hybrid arrangement to suit you. Please note you will be required to attend the office occasionally for team meetings.

Hours

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week.

The role

The Digital Research Analyst conducts comprehensive research on hate, extremism, and disinformation in the US to support election efforts. They analyze digital data quantitatively and qualitatively to identify potential threats and trends, contributing to internal and public reports and presentations. Collaborating with other analysts and US policy teams, they help inform legislation and interventions to combat online harm during elections.Key responsibilities include:

 Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis, through ethnographic monitoring and tools (Pyrra, Brandwatch)
 Author at least two ‘explainers’ per year and contribute submissions to other briefs and publications as required.
 Produce slides and presentation materials for training to help safeguard public officials, frontline activities, and voters in the context of election disinformation.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 2+ years of research or data analysis experience and proficiency in online analytical tools with strong data visualization skills.
