Director, Digital Systems, Hybrid, Remote
 
 
ROLE PURPOSE

The Director, Digital Systems will report to the Gold Standard COO, and will have a wide range of responsibilities, including spearheading the end-to-end digitalization of Gold Standard impact delivery processes (i.e., digitalization of the full suite of Gold Standard products and services, including methodologies, assurance, registry services, and marketplace and exchange integrations).

The Director, Digital Systems will also be responsible for IT governance, IT operations, data & cyber security, and digital Project Management Office (PMO).

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR: 1. Management of the Digital Systems team

 Manage a team made up of internal and external resources covering IT Operations, Digital PMO, Data & Cyber Security.
 Empower IT Operations team to: Manage the cloud infrastructure, PC, printer, telco (Phone and Data) and
 Resolve hardware and software incidents in a timely and accurate manner
 Empower the Digital PMO team to: Accompany Business Functions to choose appropriate solutions.
 Work in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects.
 Provide a suite of applications to enable effective work for employees.
 Digitize all aspects the end-to-end digitalization of Gold Standard impact delivery processes.
2. Digital Strategy

 Lead the end-to-end digitalization of Gold Standard impact delivery processes (i.e., digitalization of the full suite of Gold Standard products and services, including methodologies, assurance, registry services, and marketplace and exchange integrations).
 Stay abreast of the latest technology trends and advancements relevant to Gold Standard operations and objectives, to drive innovation and efficiency.
 Collaborate with (internal and external) stakeholders to identify technology solutions that can enhance business processes and deliver value.
3. IT Governance

 Develop and implement IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and compliance with industry standards.
 Establish and maintain effective communication channels to foster collaboration and coordination between the Digital Systems team and other teams within Gold Standard.
 Responsible for procurement and contracting of vendor services and delivery of solutions.
 Develop and monitor IT budgeting and relevant departmental KPIs.
4. IT Operations

 Oversee the organization’s IT infrastructure, systems, and networks.
 Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure effective and secure operations.
 Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of IT systems.
 Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary upgrades or enhancements.
 Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning efforts to minimize potential disruptions.
5. Digital Project Management Office (PMO)

 Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of: Project management methodologies, tools, and processes to ensure consistent and efficient digital project execution. 
 Digital project demand management process, including a prioritization framework.
 Digital project dashboard to provide visibility into project status, key metrics, and performance indicators .
6. Data & Cyber Security

 Develop and implement data security policies, procedures, and controls to protect Gold Standard data.
 Establish and maintain a robust cybersecurity framework, including incident response plans and vulnerability management processes.
 Conduct regular risk assessments and/or audits to identify potential security
 Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats and trends and implement appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
 Provide guidance and training to employees on data security best practices.
 Ensure compliance with the relevant data-related regulations in coordination with Legal function.

YOU WILL BRING:

 BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, minimum of 10 years’ experience. Master’s degree preferred.
 Proven experience in a leadership role with experience of team development, coaching and performance management.
 Demonstrated experience leading large digital change management
 Proven experience in IT governance, IT operations, and data & cyber security.
 Extensive experience in building and supporting high performing, diverse, and multi-skilled teams (UX Designers, Software Engineers and QA Engineers) in hybrid environments, including in-house and outsourced operations and vendors.
 Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, networks, and cloud technologies.
 Familiarity with digital workplace concepts, process automation, and emerging technologies.
 Experience in developing and implementing IT policies, procedures, and standards.
 Good understanding of data security and privacy regulations.
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and outside the organisation.
 Deep understanding of the Digital industry, trends, and opportunities in areas such as technology selection, data security and recovery, and web 3.0.
 Demonstrated ability to design and deliver policy, strategy, and work planning, including where elements may not already be in place or need revision.
 Demonstration of passion for the subjects of climate change, sustainable development, and equitable access for developing countries.
