Bopinc is a Dutch not-for-profit that accelerates the impact of market-driven and innovative business models in low-income markets. We support our clients in making their businesses more viable and inclusive by including people at the Base of the Pyramid as consumers, producers and entrepreneurs in the supply chain. Bopinc works with a wide variety of start-ups, SMEs and multinational companies to achieve this. Over the past ten years we have been working with more than 1,000 companies., reaching more than 4,5 million low-income consumers, while creating better income opportunities for over 120,000 low-income entrepreneurs.
Responsibilities
Support project team in the execution of the Beyond Farming Collective project plan in Nigeria.
Provide technical assistance to agricultural associations selected to receive funding through the accelerator. Technical assistance will include supporting associations to develop and test new service offerings and business models in areas such as: access to inputs, farm management services, aggregation, processing and traceability.
Support the organisation of regular events that convene agricultural associations participating in the project and key stakeholders in the agriculture sector, government and private sector.
Contribute to writing reports and publications for external stakeholders, including the donor and government agencies.
Qualifications
Nigerian national
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in agriculture, development economics, business administration
2+ years experience in the agribusiness sector. Experience working with agricultural associations and/or food processing is a plus
No longer than 4 years relevant work experience to be able to take part of the Young Executive Program
Experience conducting qualitative research
Knowledge and experience with the challenges and opportunities for doing Inclusive Business in low-income communities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and local language(s)
Ability to work with diverse stakeholders; government, development players, large multinationals, rural small entrepreneurs
