Summer Intern, Communication & Instructional Design, Remote – USA, United States

Chemonics seeks a Summer Intern, Communication & Instructional Design to join the Risk, Finance, and Compliance Unit. Under the direction of a supervisor, the intern is integrated into the daily work of the Risk and Audit Response team (RAR), a dynamic group that reacts to external audits, assessments, and reviews of Chemonics-implemented projects, as well as proactively identify steps teams can take to manage risk. Both aspects of RAR work help free up the teams implementing development work to focus on their project activities. The intern will support the proactive side of RAR, helping the team communicate across the USG business line the purpose, benefits, and instructions for a new Risk Evaluation Visualization; “REV”. REV is an interactive self-assessment survey project managers will take iteratively as they start-up and implement new work. REV results will feed into Power BI (or similar) visualizations that allow the project teams, as well as Chemonics support divisions and leadership, to see risks over time. Risks that are seen are risks that can be prioritized and mitigated. The intern will support the development of redesigned Power BI (or similar) reporting dashboards for RAR activities. The intern will also assess the current structure and content of the survey tool from an instructional design perspective and provide recommendations for how to improve user learning from interacting with the tool.
