….an experienced, versatile communicator able to lead and manage a range of communication activities such as: Social Media, Internal and External Communications, Event Planning and Coordination, and Content Production.

…..a strategic storyteller who can not only get our project teams excited about stories, articles, videos, and other materials that highlight our learnings or impact across the globe but also strategically works with them to collect, package, and amplify this information.

….an organisational talent who enjoys bringing structure into a complex, multi-country, multi-team environment and can help us stay on track by strategically planning, tracking, and managing content and its progress.

….a proactive leader who can take initiative in a small team and effectively support and occasionally lead in the absence of the Head of Global Communications in implementing (both internal and external) communications strategies and initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Information Collection & Editorial Oversight:

 Proactively liaise with colleagues across countries (and timezones) to obtain information on project impact and stories.
 Oversee the collection and drafting of internal newsletters and/or messages.

 Strategically edit and/or rewrite technical information using clear and compelling language
Content Production & Dissemination

 Lead in packaging content appropriately and in an engaging way using (and, where possible, producing) visuals (i.e. pictures, graphics, illustrations, video, animations).
 Experience in graphic design, visualisation or video editing to expertly package said content.
 Coordinate and ensure quality assurance of content review with all involved team members.

 Schedule and disseminate content and work closely with the Head of Communications and project teams to identify key target audiences.
Time Management

 Effectively manage our social media calendar and keep identify opportunities for international days, company anniversaries and other opportunities to engage with a wider public.
 Lead communication efforts with focal points across the company and ensure effective coordination of the company’s communications coordination group.

Other Key Responsibilities:

Support in event planning and implementation as needed (both internal and external). Events could be conferences, internal webinars, external hybrid events, lunch and learns, trainings and others.
 Manage external service providers incl. drafting Terms of Reference (TORs) and contracts, ensuring due diligence, overseeing implementation, and monitoring payment processes to enhance our communications outreach.

As an effective and articulate communicator, you possess the ability to engage empathetically with diverse stakeholders across various geographies and cultures. You are adept at transforming high-level directives into actionable plans and meticulously tracking progress. Your keen interest in global development topics, coupled with a talent for storytelling, enables you to effectively connect these themes with a broad audience.

Skills & Experience:

 Demonstrated understanding and/or experience in one or more communications areas (i.e. social media, internal/external communications, event planning);
 Excellent, proven written communication skills and attention to detail;
 A positive, proactive attitude;
 Exceptional organisational skills with a knack for prioritising effectively;
 A hard-working and adaptable team player with a proactive and enthusiastic attitude.
 Strong interpersonal and people management skills;
 Resilience under pressure, adept at navigating change, complexity and unpredictability;
 Proficiency in Microsoft packages. Familiarity of Adobe products is highly desirable;

 Graphic design and/or video editing skills a distinct advantage.
 Fluency in English is essential.
