In a very busy and dispersed team across Australia, the Conservation Support Officer primarily assists the Director of Conservation (Australia) with administrative, team, and conservation activities. They assist the Director in raising the Conservation Team’s general effectiveness. Additionally, they might oversee conservation data management, take part in conservation planning, assist in creating project communications, react to conservation-related inquiries, and/or improve the interface between conservation employees and the Project Management Office (PMO). This could entail working in the field to gather, compile, and analyze various sorts of data, creating maps using GIS software, and helping to produce reports. Work can be done in an office environment or out in the field (such as monitoring restored shellfish reefs).

Minimum Requirements

• Biological science bachelor’s degree in a field like marine biology, ecology, or conservation science.
• a minimum of one year of full-time employment.

• familiarity in handling common business correspondence.
• reliable, trustworthy, and able to work with ambiguous information.
• proactive manner with a passion for cooperative working in a conservation environment.
